Do you ever feel like you don’t want to be here’ anymore? … More often than you think So how do we keep going?

So here’s a thing. A lot of jokes on gym bro instagram are about the heart is a muscle, so train it to failure’. They are on to something. We have to suffer sometimes, we have to feel shitty and low. We have to face those times so we learn how to get through them, and we use that to become healthier, and more in touch with yourself. Pain reveals a lot about your inner self, in different ways. For most of our conscious time, there are layers of us that are hidden from view, even from our introspection. But sometimes, we get a bit of success and we learn to love and crave that feeling. We love, and we want more love, because it’s pure and wonderful, and even we humans cannot ruin love as an emotion. Sometimes, what gives us an insight is not a positive, but like a deep cut, and when we peer into that cut we see a part of ourself, a part we want to protect, but a part we need to understand. Like training your fight or flight response, learning to live through these moments helps us enjoy the good more, but also to live with setbacks and pain, which makes it easier on the smaller amounts of- the little fights, the hard days at work. It’s all about learning, and knowing that after every down comes the fucking high. Not by chance, but because you and I we choose to not let the bad define us, but the good. It sounds dumb, but when you get knocked down, you don’t let some event in your life keep you there
